Ronaldo topples Messi to become highest paid soccer player in the world

Manchester United's newest signing, Cristiano Ronaldo has toppled PSG's Lionel Messi as the highest paid soccer player in the world according to Forbes.

In the report, Ronaldo is set to make over $125 million before taxes in the 2021-22 season, with $70 million coming from salary and bonuses at Manchester United.

Lionel Messi was the highest paid last year at Barcelona is now placed second with a salary of $75 million and additional $35 million from endorsements summing to $110 million in all at PSG.
