Soldiers shut down market in Imo state, order traders to stay at home untill Biafra is achieved

Soldiers have allegedly shut down the Timber and Building Material market in Orlu, Imo after they closed operations on Monday July 26th, 2021 following the trial of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu.

Kanu who was meant to be tried at the Federal High Court Abuja did not show up and thus made the preceding judge to adjourn the case till October 21st, 2021.

However, there were cases of reported shutdown in some parts of the East to show solidarity for Kanu on Monday.

After the trial was adjourned, traders of the Timber and Building Material market Orlu came out on Tuesday to resume their normal businesses but they ordered to close their shops and remain at home by soldiers untill Biafra Republic was achieved.

The Imo state police spokesperson, Mike Abatem when contacted said he had nothing to say about the issue and that all questions be directed to the state's army headquarters.
