Confidence is a state of being clear headed either that a hypothesis or prediction is correct or that a chosen course of action is the best or most effective. Confidence comes from a Latin word 'Fidere' which means "to trust". Therefore, having self-confidence is having trust in oneself.

This entails the belief that everything is possible.

(I can do anything I've set my mind to do and anything I have the ability for is possible for me).

Types of self-confidence

- Low self-confidence: In this case there's no self belief

- Self confidence: Here, the person is assertive  

- Over confidence: This entails overestimation of one's abilities and might result to not wanting to learn.

How do you know when your confidence is low?

- When you are afraid of making mistakes or failing

- Comparing yourself with others 

- Doubting your strengths and abilities

- Seeing yourself as inferior to others

- Feeling bad, guilty and angry when you don't get what you want

How to overcome low self-confidence 

- Self Acceptance: Accept yourself as you're, always confess you're perfect.

- Self Belief: I think this is self explanatory.

- Self Esteem: Feel good about yourself

- Self Talk: What you say to yourself matters the most.

- Self Analysis: Focus on what you have and your strengths rather than what you don't have
