Corps Members die in road accident after their Orientation exercise in Taraba state

At least four serving Corps Members have lost their lives while others sustained various degree of injuries in a road accident just few days after their Orientation exercise at Jalingo Orientation Camp, Taraba state.

The Corps Members were said to be travelling to Yobe and Bauchi States having successfully gotten their redeployment letters from Taraba state.

The deceased corps members include Mohammed Ali – TR/21C/2269; Job Gabriel – TR/21C/1655; Auwal Salisu Bashari – TR/21/2988 and Audu Sani Tata – TR/21C/2302.

The Yobe State Government and management of the National Youth Service Corps have commiserated with the families of the deceased. 

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni in a statement by his spokesperson, Mamman Mohammed, described their death as tragic and painful, consoling their families, friends and relations.

"It is painful losing these young men at their prime but as faithful, we have to accept it as the will of Almighty Allah which is destined to happen at this time" the Governor said.
