Absurd! Report shows that just 52% Nigerians want to relocate abroad because of worsening state of Nigeria's economy
An International Weekly Newspaper, The Economist has come out with a report on the percentage of Nigerians who want to relocate abroad.
The report confirmed that the percentage of Nigerians who want to relocate abroad has risen drastically over the years.
Between 2014 and 2018, the relocation percentage was just 36% compared to the recent report which says that as of the first quarter of 2021, 52% of Nigerians want to relocate because of the worsening state of the Nigerian economy. Thus, this percentage makes Nigeria stand as one of the top countries in Africa where it's citizens are bent on relocating.
The report which was titled "Nigeria's economy is stuck in a rut" also presented inflation in Nigeria has risen to 18% while increment in food prices to 23% all under Buhari's regime. It also presented the fact that more than half of Nigeria's population and unemployed or underemployed.
In a related development, Nigerians have reacted to the report that was presented by The Economist. They said the 52% for those who want to relocate abroad is very small. They confirmed that almost 90% of the population and not 52% are really ready to leave the country as nothing seem to be working out any longer.
They also complained bitterly about the rottening economy and described Buhari's tenure are the worst in Nigeria's history.
