"We will Impeach Buhari next month..." - Lawmaker

A lawmaker representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Dachung Bagos has said the National Assembly will begin the process to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari if security worsens in May.

Bagos said this on Thursday in an interview with Channels TV

He also added that the House of Reps has commissioned a 40-man committee to look specifically into the deteriorating state of security in the country.

He continued by saying there's nobody in the country right now who has not been directly or indirectly affected by the growing insecurity in the country and that if the House does not see changes in May after the security summit, the House would have no choice other than to begin the impeachment process of President Buhari.

"If nothing is done by the Executive after this last resort then we call for the impeachment of the President. We have the power to impeach the President if he can no longer secure the lives and property of Nigerians,"
