Nigerians stage online protest, lists out ills of Buhari's administration
Nigerians have taken to the social media to stage their displeasure over recent happenings in the country under the President Buhari administration.
They started the protest on Twitter using the hashtag #BuhariHasFailed to list out several ills and hardships Nigerians are facing at the moment under the Buhari regime.
Notable Nigerians who also joined the online protest include Atiku Abubakar and the Revolution Now masterminder, Yele Sowore.
The online protesters held that in past months, Nigerians had suffered increased tariffs in electricity, unemployment and insecurity at its peak, among several others.
The latest is the increased petrol pump price which has now moved to N162 per litre. A protest was however staged by the Coalition of Civil Societies group in Osogbo, Osun state to show displeasure over the new fuel pump price and increased electricity tariff.
Fuel prices have increased for over four straight months. In June, it was from N121.50 - N125.50 per litre, in July, N140.80 - N143.80. In August, it was from N148 - N150 and in September, N158 - N162.
