Manchester United Youngster Mason Greenwood given new shirt number ahead of the 2020/2021 Season

Mason Greenwood has been handed the number 11 shirt at Manchester United for the 2020-21 season.

Mason Greenwood previously wore the number 26 shirt, the youngster scored 17 goals in a breakthrough season for United in the 2019/2020 season and has become a key player for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with his breakthrough performance.

The number 11 shirt at Manchester United was worn by United Legend Ryan Giggs for a great number of years.

Mason Greenwood is the third player to wear the number 11 shirt since the United Legend Ryan Giggs retired, the other two are Adnan Januzaj and Anthony Martial.

The youngster is now a starter on the right-hand side of attack alongside Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

This means United front three of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Greenwood will wear the numbers 9, 10 and 11 for the 2020/2021 season

Elsewhere,another United Youngster, Brandon Williams, has also been handed a new shirt number 33 for the new season moving from No.53 to No.33
