FG finally approves full reopening of schools

The Federal Government has asked state governments and school administrators to begin processes for full reopening of school.

This was made known at the daily Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 briefing held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Thursday.

The National Coordinator of the PTF on COVID-19, Dr. Sani Aliyu who made this known in a statement said Educational institutions should begin to work towards full school reopening.

      "...And if there will be reopening of schools, It must be staged and preferably carried out in phases to ensure that this does not pose a risk to the general public and in particular to vulnerable groups that might end up getting infected by students going back home."

Meanwhile, some states like Lagos, Osun, Kogi and Delta has already fixed dates for their school reopening.

Recall that schools were shut down by the Federal Government in March to help curb the spread of the Coronavirus.
