Russia becomes first country in the world to approve Covid-19 vaccine - Putin

Russia's President, Vladimir Putin has announced that Russia has become the first country in the world to approve a vaccine for Coronavirus less than two months of human trial.

President Putin said this in a press conference in Moscow and he disclosed that the vaccine which was developed by Moscow's Gamaleya Institute was safe and it had been inoculated into one of his daughters.

However, there are speculations that Putin is only trying to promote Russia's national prestige because the vaccine is still at the final stage of clinical trials according to WHO.

Putin insisted that the vaccine was safe for mass inoculation and that he hoped for the mass production of the vaccine in no time.

   "I know that it works quite effectively, forms strong immunity and I repeat It had passed all the needed checks" Putin said.
