FINALLY: Akpabio names National Assembly members who got NDDC contracts

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio has bowed to pressure by finally revealing the names of National Assembly members who got the NDDC contracts. The Speaker of the House of Reps Femi Gbajabiamila had earlier given the minister an ultimatum of 48-hours to provide the names of the lawmakers who he claimed got NDDC contracts. The Punch reports that the lawmakers are:

Senator Peter Nwaoboshi (Delta-North) with 53 projects

Senator Matthew Urhoghide (Edo-South) Six projects

James Manager (Delta-South) six projects

Mr. Nicholas Matu, House of Reps member representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency Delta State with 74 projects

Samuel Anyanwu (Imo-West, 19 projects, and several others simply identified as Ondo and Edo Reps.

The Punch also observed that the list of the lawmakers who got the NDDC contracts were not up to the 60 percent as earlier stated by Akpabio.
